Commissioners

The Road Commission is governed by a board of three county road commissioners who are appointed to the Clinton County Board of Commissioners. The board holds regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month beginning at 9 a.m. that are held at the Road Commission office, 3536 S. BR 127, St. Johns, MI 48879. Kevin P. Holt

Kevin Holt of Capital Equipment – Capital Equipment specializes in a large tractor, construction equipment, lawn mowers and trailers, they also carry one of the largest supplies of parts in the Lansing area. Kevin has always worked in the business he started doing odd jobs when he was a teenager and increased his responsibilities as he completed high school and college. He wanted to learn more from the corporate side of the business, so after earning a college degree he worked in Indianapolis, Indiana for 7 years gaining additional knowledge and business experience. In 2005, Kevin felt he could apply many principles and moved to Michigan to begin his new position with Capital Equipment. Capital Equipment has grown to three locations and has a commitment to their customers and community.

Kevin has been living in DeWitt with his Wife and two children. He has been involved in the community from coaching soccer at the DeWitt Soccer Club to serving as member of the Clinton County Road Commission.

Michael J. Frederick

Michael Frederick of The Frederick Group - Graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison College. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and was subsequently sworn in by a sitting Justice of the Supreme Court of Michigan.

Gail Watkins (Chair)

Gail Watkins of Watkins Assessing Services – Graduated from Central Michigan University and continued his education throughout his career at Lansing Community College. The Family owned and operated business ran for 40 years with Gail at the helm. At the peak of the business Gail and his wife Judy ran the organization with 4 employees based in Clinton County. Gail and his wife are current residents of St. Johns and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Gail has served on the Clinton County Road Commission Board for 7 years and been heavily involved in the community. Serving as Board Chair for the PTO of East Olive Elementary, Olive Township Trustee and Clerk, Clinton County Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman, Clinton Area Transit System Chairman, along with past Chair of the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission.
